Eight decades ago, during the interwar period, the tradition of making of high quality cheese was born in Vilkyškiai. To mark this occasion, as the name of the cheese suggests, Jubiliejinis 1934 was created. The Jubiliejinis 1934 hard cheese is a result of the craftsmanship of Vilkyškių Pieninė’s masters and 12 months of ripening. As the cheese ripens, its character develops to include a bouquet of hazelnut, dried apricot and cream flavours. Cut into larger pieces, this hard cheese can adorn any cheese platter, and should be served before dessert or as a snack with wine.
